When choosing to become a member of the National Road Freighters Association (NRFA), you not only have the opportunity to have your voice heard, but you also instil confidence in your representatives at the discussion table that they can call in the troops should the need ever arise.
Funding the association is a constant challenge, and many board members attend meetings across the country at their own expense. All board members and delegates donate their time and money in an effort to make this a better industry. There is no personal reward other than the satisfaction of knowing we have done our best for our members.
Our administration is funded through membership fees and, at times, donations to our yearly auction at the AGM when and where it is convenient. As we continue to grow, we have been fortunate to attract corporate supporters who recognise our challenges and have offered their assistance by providing not only financial backing that allows us to keep membership fees to a minimum but also discounts on their products.
Membership is open to drivers, owner-operators, fleet operators, and industry participants alike, as it is clear that we all need to work together if we are to bring about real change.
Membership numbers are critical to gaining and maintaining a voice at any discussion table where decisions are made at local, state, or federal levels that impact our industry. You need the NRFA, and the NRFA needs you.

MyTrucking came about through helping a friend tame the paper trail. Established in 2014 by Wairarapa couple Sam & Sara Orsborn, MyTrucking was developed alongside a local transport business to stream-line a laborious paper-based system, and in particular lessen the hassle of admin (invoicing). The initial offering of MyTrucking proved to be quite popular among several other local livestock transport companies, so they approached a local developer for assistance to make it available to a wider audience. MyTrucking “in the cloud” was launched and it was soon after that we realised we could change the game for small and medium sized transport businesses everywhere. Every time we demonstrated our simple, powerful cloud-based transport management software to new prospects, we could visibly see the joy of having removed the burden their old paper based system had them under.
