I’m Noel Porter and with wife Jill we have been in the transport industry since I started driving for Kain & Shelton out of Mt Gambier in S.A. in 1976, we have worked for various companies until we brought our first truck in 1976, (an R-model Mack) kept it for 9 years and added a superliner as well.

In 1994 we were lucky enough to win a big job with a major manufacturer and working alongside our two sons Allister and Marc, we began operating a dozen Prime Movers and about thirty trailers and employed half a dozen good reliable owner drivers as permanent subbies.

In 2007 a large multi-national took most of our work off us, we have gone back to about seven or eight trucks between the boys and us.

We mainly run north out of Geelong servicing the Territory and central and North Queensland, a couple of road trains and an extendable here and there, keeps us busy enough, Drop deck flat tops seem to be the way to go at the moment.

As a delegate for Victoria I look forward to meeting you all in the coming months and at the NRFA display at the International Truck & Trailer Show March 18th   20th 2010, Melbourne Show Grounds, Grand Pavilion, Booth 13.
